A Port Alberni Visit.
...and then the sunny weather arrived...
Still fulfilling my care duties, I walked down to the waterfront near the Harbour Quay.
The duck didn't seem to care about getting its picture taken. Mind you, I was using a 300mm lens, and this is cropped from that image...
After walking back for lunch, I then drove out to Great Central Lake. It's still not easily seen from the road.
The road only reaches this end of the lake. Need a boat to see the rest...
On the way back, I stopped at the Sproat Lake boat launch parking area. You can see how high the water had been during the winter.
...it looks like the wind storm made a visit here, too...
See, it's perfect weather to sit on the beach, by the lake!
This is the spot where we usually sit. My back is in the bushes on the other side of the gap we usually go through.
I recognise that aircraft, but not the big ski-hill in the distance...
And finally, all the way to the petroglyphs. Oh, what's that on the other side of the fence?
Ok, the swimming season has begun! The rocks might be warmed in the sun, but that water was snow until quite recently...
