The Gardens.


Another interesting mixed planting.



These daisies (?) stood out well against the white background.



At the back of the gardens, and no one swimming in this pool, either. I guess the life-guards were all on lunch-break.



The view from the upper walkway. Butchart Gardens is beginning to suffer the same problem as Queen Elizabeth Park, in that the old trees are getting a bit big.

I'm not sure why this is here, but with our weather, I'm pretty sure I know why it's inside a building! It sure did spin fast, though...



A token nod to local history.



We had to cross a large open area, which had smaller plantings beside a large lawn.



Maybee they hosted theater groups on the lawn in the summer. "Two bee, or not two bee..."



This was an enormous bloom!



As we were dragon ourselves through the rest of the garden, we came across this:
