The Gardens.
This series of arches was quite popular, especially if you have a large camera, and are waiting for a break in the crowds. (Oh look, he's taking a picture, there must be something interesting...)
Beside the arches were rows of these various cultivars, all identified, and mostly recent.
I think it's the Rows Garden...
Ok, it's nice to see a name that's a bit more imaginative than the usual "Queen Anne's Cup Of Tea", or whatever...
Red was a popular colour.
But a little less red was good, too.
The red is pretty faint here as the yellows begin to dominate.
Ok, now the yellows are gone, and the pinks are in.
That's enough rows of the Rows Garden, let's check out this interesting place, sounds promising...
Hmm... A torii gate, that's a good start...
Oh, and a lantern, in the mossy forest.
And a little bridge to nowhere. Gotta have a little bridge to nowhere in a Japanese garden.
And a manicured pine, another essential. Unfortunately, Japanese gardens are not squashed together like this. It should feel open and contemplative, not crammed and "tired"...
