Port Alberni & Whistler.
We made it back to Port Alberni, and after getting a bit unpacked, we went to visit Ken and Sharlyn's campsite at Stamp Falls. Beads: the perfect camping toy!

The water level had dropped since the last visit, and the current was a bit slower, but the air temperatures were still high. So we all went for a swim!
The rock pool was being searched carefully for any (unfortunate) crayfish that happened to wander into their grasp!
I guess it's like fishing stories: "You should have seen the one that got away! It was at least this big!"
That evening, Doreen circulated some of Jim's treasured belongings that had been brought from Edmonton. Including this old box full of all the wedding invitations that he had received!
His old glasses were a real hit!

The smoke from the forest fires in central BC had arrived. I took this picture of a sunspot! I took several over several days to make sure it wasn't a just mark on the lens...
