Almost Spring...

There were other plants in bloom...

And just because I don't know the right names for them doesn't mean I can't appreciate them!

So, I carried on eastward, and when looking back I saw this relaxing scene of these kayakers, with the Granville Street bridge behind them.
...well actually, what I noticed was the one paddler has his paddle upside down...

I finally read this sign... It's under the Cambie St. bridge.

And it refers to those blue stripes on the bridge supports. This is a bit misleading though, as the 5 meter rise is being measured from a really low tide.
So the top of the light blue stripe will be the new low tide mark. For high tide, add yet another 4 meters of water. ...this could take another 500 years, though...

So I carried on walking, into gastown. And arrived just in time to catch the steam clock in action.

There was a movie being made here. I think these will be the background extras. Notice how many of them have spotted the big camera...

And finally, heading back home along Burrard St., here's the Wall Center main fountain.

The clear sky helped me get a better view of the Lions. The "face" on the one on the right seems more defined with a bit of snow.

And Grouse Mountain, too! Yes, you can see skiers on the hill... The local mountains usually run out of skiers before they run out of snow.

And, now a block from home, some back-lit palms.

And there was a big full moon a few days ago, too. You can see the rippled edges, which is caused by heated air in the atmosphere.
