Project Vortec: swapping in a Chev 4.3L Vortec engine and drivetrain.
After removing the radiator, and the A/C radiator,
the rear differential, exhaust, starter motor and drive shaft were removed. Then the trans support, and all the linkages and
fuel lines, and the front differential.
Then lifting by the exhaust manifolds, the complete engine, transmission, and transfer case
are lifted as a single unit out through the front of the truck

However, more parts are yet to be removed (fuel system, wiring harness, computer...)
