The local highlights!

King of all he surveys, the Lingcod. Very fearless and will attack. It has sharp needle teeth.

However, a seal will certainly do its best to grab one behind the head! This one got away...

A Spiny Dogfish, the local common shark. These guys like to hang around the shallows in the fall.

This Giant Pacific Octopus was quite curious,
and this was the 3rd or 4th picture I had taken of it. I was trying to get the whole octopus in view
but as I backed up, it would extend its arm out further and further, trying to touch me. I didn't realize
this was happening, all I knew is that I couldn't seem to keep it all in view! That arm is about 4-5 ft long!

This is an "Orange Peel Nudibranch", a sea-slug, about 10-12" long, looking for lunch.
Food is varied, corals and other sedentary critters. There is a small rockfish hiding near it, but they have no interest in each other.
