Seattle.

This looks like we are in an old lighthouse, and not a very big one. Mom says it's in Victoria. Doreen is carrying Marion, and John is in his yellow sweater.

The old guns from the retired military gun emplacements near Victoria. Mom & Marion, with Ken (riding), and John (standing).

This looks like a different gun, with Doreen doing a more lady-like side saddle. Jim is manning the sighting adjustments, Marion is hanging from the shielding,
and Dad keeping an eye on things (Hey! We were quite capable of destroying even something as sturdy as this artillery piece!). Don is ready to re-load. Note the knife in his belt...

And this is it, 50+ years old. Well, actually it's Jim's, mine is long gone. Jim had one too, and he managed to save it all these years! I think Ken and John had them too.

This must be in Victoria, look at all the provincial emblems. L-R: Don (sulking, don't remember why...), Marion, Jim, Ken, John, and Doreen.

At the park: Marion and the swans!

Marion, Doreen, half of Ken, and the swans!

Back home, at last, and here is Marion with her friend Issa Caldarulo (and Issa's little sister, Pirina). Don't they look so harmless!

There are 15 candles on this cake, and mom looks pretty pleased with her handywork. That's Doreen on the far right, and Marion on the left, and Rita van Kessel, the unhappy guest of honour.

And here's Dad, doing his best Hugh Hefner pose. ...all dressed up?

Ah, company was coming! Om Jan, and Tante Sjaan! The old red couch, chairs, and blue carpet: Living room decor, phase II !

Hallowe'en! I recognize John in the yellow mask, so that must be cowboy Ken, Dutch bag-lady Marion, and Doreen, the drunk engineer!

...it's time to set up the Christmas tree! ...but first, the windows need cleaning! Don is untangling lights, with Jim and Marion helping. John is going "pbbbbft"

Oldest brother, Youngest sister! Great fashions back then! ...I'm a victim of circus-pants!
