Oma Krom's Farewell Tour.
Continuing from the previous trip: A collection of antique cars making their way off the ferry at the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal. Did Oma think of them as "antique"?
So, what to do in Victoria after that ferry ride? Well... There's always Butchart Gardens!
...and here's Oma, congratulating those Canadians on their quaint gardening efforts...
And finally, heading north on the hiway, with a stop at the Malahat view point.
And finally, back in Port Alberni, for a late afternoon swim at Sproat Lake!
And here's Oma, warning Marion away as she is "schoenen poetsen" (? shoe polishing...) Jim thinking "She's doing my job for me! ...Actually, I think it was Don's job...
And here we all are with our polished shoes! ...did you see how big John's feet had gotten! ...Ok, he's wearing Dad's shoes...
..and the ladies only! ...with Jim in the background!
...and the boys! Aren't we a handsome bunch! You know who's who by now, right? (sigh... L-R: Don, John, Jim, and Ken)
And we're back in Victoria, this time with all the kids along!
It's not quite Butchart Gardens, but it does have ducks! Oma thinking "Where's all the tulips, there should be more flowers!"
...Lots of ducks!
And we even took a look at the parlaiment buildings! ...well, most of us. Marion had other ideas...
