Party time!
Jim's 7th birthday! That's me, front and center by the food. Jim's on the left, blowing his own horn... John, far left. Doreen behind me. But where's Ken?
Doreen and Don, making some noise, and looking fine in our princess hats....
Where's Ken?? Jim, right, in Indian headress, and holding Marion. Me sitting beside Jim, and then Doreen holding ...Aryan Sap? And why are some kids so upset?
Ah, that's why some were crying, because the mom's were playing without them!
...and their dad's were too! No fair!
Now where is Jim??? Doreen's on the left, Don's middle at the back, and Ken and John are in the middle row between Don and Doreen. Lots of cousins!
Ok, adult party time! Mom and Dad held a "wedding party" for the relatives who couldn't be in Canada years ago.
...they must be playing polka music, I doubt they got too many Beatles requests... (Hey! It's possible, it's 1964)
"...and can you believe it, in Canada, 6 kids is considered a LARGE family!"
"...I just told your mom that in Canada, 6 kids is considered a large family..."
Dad talking to Ger de Vries, tante Dor's husband, while Oom Cor is eating. The woman on the left used to work with mom as stenographers.
