The Ganmon Sea Cave

The Ganmon Sea Cave viewing required a short walk down to the water from the parking lot behind me. Boat tours used the dock down here.

Even though we arrived at close to 7 am and no one else was there, this cheerful senior offered to make fresh coffee for me while she was opening her shop. It was good!

We needed to walk a short way south, and the view was photogenic!

The "Happiness Bridge" was unhappily damaged by a recent eathquake, and was closed for safety reasons.

We found the cave view access cave.

Which opened out onto a beach. The actual sea cave was over to the right, and partially in view here.

The sea cave! Tour boats would go into the cave, but as it was a holiday day, they were not operating. The access cave we used opens out behind Yuko.

Salt water spray and reinforced concrete don't always get along very well...

We took the loop trail back, and met a second shop owner, who also offered coffee. The first one was better! Both shops featured arts-crafts produced by the operators.
