Kanazawa City

Kanazawa City. We were staying about a block away from this, the train station.

The station had a large shopping mall inside.

And this interesting roof!

Unfortunately, Kanazawa is beginning to suffer from the early stages of the problems Kyoto now has: Too many tourists.

This was the only location on this trip where we saw tourists wandering in rental clothing.

This map was useful... Or would have been, if we could take it with us!

The city is quite walkable, with plenty of local sites within the city, and a basic transit system for when your legs get tired! This, by the way, is a road for cars...

A car turntable! This makes that hard left turn into the building much easier!

This large empty space is directly under a major road intersection. There were stairs on each of the four corners, so you could cross the streets without waiting.

We frequently returned to the station area for dinners, and for its many services, which included the surrounding buildings as well.

Dessert time!

...I think she likes this one!
