Kanazawa region
The Amanohashidate sandbar.
Considered one of the three most beautiful locations in Japan, it was best viewed from the top of this ridge.
You could choose between the slow chairlift, or the even slower gondola. Another of the other three locations is in the north, Matsushima, where we visited 20 years ago!
The view was indeed pretty good from up here!
Ok, apparently you're supposed to view and photograph the view from between your legs...
And apparently many people do...
...though not everyone feels the need to do so...
There was a good viewing location from this elevated pathway.
