Yufuin
Yufuin Onsen Ryokan.
Along the hiway, we stopped for lunch at this interesting building!
And reached our destination, which required driving down this street while it was covered with people! That was the most nerve-wracking 2 blocks I've ever driven.
And less than a block from the crowd, it was quite peaceful here!
Our stay included dinner and breakfast for both nights, and this was the dinner menu. Many small dishes!
Which met with approval!
All beautifully presented.
And topped off by dessert!
This ryokan had several hot springs, some open around the clock.
It also featured these smaller private "family onsen" rooms! Very relaxing and a pleasant surprise!
