Kumamoto Castle
Our hotel was right beside the entrance to a large shopping arcade, with anywhere from 2 to 5 floors of retail per building..
The veggies looked so fresh!

The Kumamoto Castle The castle looks well preserved, but in fact has been rebuilt ~60 years ago with a concrete and steel interior.
...a famous occupant of the castle... Note the bear ears. Kuma is Japanese for bear.
