Northern Iceland
We had some decisions to make on which branch of the trail to take next. Conclusion: the chair needs padding.
We thought it best to check out the holes in the rock...
Yup, that's a hole in the rock!
And it looks the same from the other side!
This gave us a view to the north. This is a massive cinder cone (Hverfell, on the map), and we could see poeple walking along the rim.
But it was soon time to get back to the rv, and find a campsite.
But first: Dinner! This is a working farm restaurant. John finds these places during his study sessions the night before, or while I'm driving.
Here's some of the employees!
And you can watch the employees while you eat! Their signature ice-cream was very good!
We got a table near the outside window...
We found a nice site, on the north east corner of the lake, just before it got dark...
Who am I kidding! This is 11:27 pm. It's still light outside! I darkened the above picture to bring out the sky colours.
