John actually did get the new board to carve, this is the only picture I have of anyone being able to move along the face of a wave.
The gang of four. They are close in skill levels, and they do seem to enjoy annoying each other!
They even do synchronized wave jumping!

With Lucas in the mix, the bigger kids took turns pushing his heavy board along for him.
Palmer decides to make a quicker return to the deeper water!

This grouping is much better! The camera can reach them more easily now!
