This was on display in one corner, and no one seemed to know you could touch it. So I encouraged Yuko to demonstrate...
The "lightning flashes" is static electricity, zapping the plastic sphere, and since your touch makes a better ground, the sparks go to where you touch!
It's all good fun, and perfectly harmless.
See, it didn't effect Yuko at all. Mind you, she lit up every bench that she sat on afterwards!
Some of the "trees" were strictly fantasy, but they did like to use that cherry blossom look.
There were a number of walkway areas where you could pause, but most people seemed to be heading deeper into the maze.
I think those are supposed to be tulips...
Not just moose and polar bears! There was a unicorn, as well!
...speaking of fantasy creatures... I get the impression that the entire setup has been careful to avoid trademarked or copyrighted materials. They invented their own!
