More boaty stuff

Private moorage, English Bay, easy access to parking and accomodation. Must be expensive...

Meanwhile, on more peaceful waters...

Amazing orange colour.

Red poppies, near the above orange flowers, and all on the now unused railway tracks.

Ahhh yes. The old hull. That's a CBC reporter talking to a friend of the owner, who is trying to get hold of him to show up for the interview.
Before I had realized that was a reporter, I remarked on whether they were documenting the wreck's deterioration. The owner's friend, in his 50's, who arrived by skateboard,
proudly announced there was a "gofundme" page set up for its rescue. I made a few comments regarding the "fiction" that the owner had posted on that site, at which time the
reporter wanted more details. The owners had printed some of the pages and taped them to a nearby bench, which I had photographed, and then went to the gofundme page to read the
whole thing. They made up a great story, which hides their errors, ignorance, and poor, poor planning and seamanship. I detailed the BS to the reporter, while the owners friend
grinned and laughed and then said "Hey, you guys want to see a cool poster?". He unrolled a poster from his bag, and showed it to us. The reporter was fast loosing interest now...
There's a lot more to this moment, but I'm more interested in pictures than lots of typing...

Part of the text...

More of the text. Note that some of the funds are expected to be used to feed the captain and crew... I suspect ALL of the funds...

...and now let us leave that silliness for a kayak moment...

...next page.
