A day at the races...
There were three F430 Scuderia's, they are a race-track specialty version of the regular F430: less weight, more power, bigger brakes, more $$$'s.
This is yet another varient, the F430 16M Scuderia, a limited edition (only 499 made) convertible,
celebrating Ferrari's 2008 16th F1 Championship. And this one has been further modified with a non-Ferrari
super-charger system, producing 700HP. This is a half-million dollar car. Overall, there was about 6-7 million in
cars there, with mine near, but not at, the lower end.
The Scuderia's come with massive front brake disks...
They seem to fill the inside of the wheel.
This is the 700HP beast, and it had a very strong exhaust growl. Alberta plates = tax break.
A Scuderia flys by on the straight stretch. I would reach 160 kph on this stretch, which is the top speed that they figured any of us would do in these conditions... The big boys were hampered by the slippery track, so they weren't going much faster. Traction control really helped today.
