Truck overhaul! Week #7
The final week! And for some reason this connector decided to not cooperate, and since it carried the fuel pump
power from the extra fusebox that I had added, I traced the wiring problem to here. Unplugging, and then plugging it back in, and all is well. How oddly convenient.
However, I had to put my wiring bundles back together after following the fuel pump wire...
Next up was to add the transmission cooler in front of the rad, and get all the fluid lines properly placed and tightened.
Then the hood back on, and the bumper, and a few other odds and ends.
The interior is last, getting all the grey bits installed, attached, and even the door glass removed and cleaned.
At long last, after getting the center console and the old muffler clamped in place, the truck is on the road!
Since this picture was taken, the rear seat and seat belts are in, the rear side windows were switched to the grey truck's windows (no rattle), and the front skid plates are on for the first time in 6 years. Last remaining job is to sort the
stuff that usually sits in the back of the truck.
Going, going, gone! At long last, the last remaining parts of the grey truck are on their way to be recycled
into a new Honda, or some such thing...
And a special "Thank You" to Gord, Harold, Karen, and the crew at Fred's for making this all possible!
