Stanley Park Seawall is finally completely re-opened.

So life in Vancouver is back to normal, the sea wall is fully re-opened, today Nov 16.
The section from Siwash Rock to the Lions Gate bridge had been closed for the past 11 months, due mostly to the cliff instability.

You can see where they cut back the wind damaged trees along the cliff edge.

There was still a lot of wave damage to the seawall itself, but apparently it won't be repaired until Spring 2008, when the tides are lower.
This is right at the Siwash Rock corner.

You can see the white square plates that were added as stabilizing bars were drilled into the cliff sides. You can also see where great chunks of this section had collapsed and are now gone.
